The NorTent Skjul is a bivy shelter designed for ultralight and stealth adventurers. Ultralight, discreet, and fast to pitch, the Skjul provides weather protection for one person. It’s built for those who value freedom of movement and want to camp in places where a traditional tent won’t fit. With a starting weight of only 750 g, the Skjul is the perfect companion for bikepacking, fastpacking, and stealth camping.

This compact shelter enables true stealth camping: its low-profile shape blends into the surroundings, letting you set up camp unnoticed. The Skjul fits almost anywhere – dense forest, rocky terrain, or a narrow hollow. All you need is a small spot, and within minutes you’ll be lying protected from rain and the elements.

• Large front opening with double zippers – easy entry and exit, even in rain.
• Ventilation – breathable 15D nylon fabric (15,000 g/m²/24h) reduces moisture buildup, and an integrated vent ensures constant airflow.

• Pole-supported space – two thin aluminium poles lift the fabric off your face, providing more interior room than a standard bivy.

Condensation – what to know:

Bivys are always compact and tight, so condensation can occur, especially in rain or high humidity. The Skjul reduces this with breathable fabric and a vent, but 100% dryness cannot be guaranteed. Usage tips:

• Use vents whenever possible.
• If the weather allows, leave the entrance slightly open.
• Remember: this is always a balance between ultralight weight and interior space.
