The NorTent Ly 2 is a two-person, four-season tunnel tent – a spacious and durable shelter for two adventurers. Ly 2 combines light weight, strength, and practicality. Designed for two people, it offers plenty of room for sleeping and gear, making it perfectly at home on long treks and wilderness expeditions, far away from cabins or other shelters. Its aerodynamic shape and Dyneema® reinforcements make it a reliable companion even in tough weather conditions.

The Ly 2 can be pitched in 3–4 minutes once practiced. Its three-pole structure provides excellent stability while keeping overall weight manageable. As a tunnel tent, it is easy to carry and offers a very generous interior space-to-weight ratio. Space is sufficient for two – and possibly more – but two adults fit very comfortably with plenty of room. The tent features two large vestibules for backpacks, boots, and cooking equipment, both suitable for safe cooking. The inner tent is sized for two 190 × 65 cm sleeping pads and can also fit a child or extra gear. Inside, four storage pockets keep small items organized.

Openness and flexibility:
The Ly 2 has four entrances, all of which can be fully opened. In addition, both sides of the tent can be rolled up, letting nature in without sacrificing protection from rain or wind. The inner tent can be removed, allowing the flysheet alone to be used as a lightweight tarp-like shelter – for example, by the campfire.

Ventilation and condensation control:
In a two-person, four-season tent, ventilation is key. The Ly 2 has two large vents at the ends plus four entrances that can be used to improve airflow. The upper vents also act as small canopies in the rain.

Condensation is controlled in three ways:
Heating – warm air binds moisture. Inner tent keeps the sleeping area dry even if condensation forms on the fly. Ventilation – strategically placed vents efficiently remove excess moisture.

Reinforced construction and double poles:
The pole sleeves are made from thicker, more durable fabric that distributes wind forces evenly across the structure. This reduces the risk of tearing and increases storm resistance. For demanding conditions, Ly 2 supports double pole setup (sold separately), providing significantly more stability in severe weather.

Modular – part of the Ly system:
The greatest strength of the Ly series is its modularity and compatibility. Ly tents can be connected in different configurations:

• Combine two Ly 1 tents to create a Ly 2 setup.
• Connect Ly 2 and Ly 3 to form a five-person tent with two separate sleeping areas.
• Join three Ly tents together to create a larger setup with a central living or cooking space.
• Connect a Ly 1 to a Ly 2, using the Ly 1 as a large vestibule.

The possibilities are nearly endless – with Ly tents, you can build exactly the configuration your group needs. In fact, multiple tents can be linked together without limit. Connect 10 tents, and you can create a massive basecamp shelter.

Seam sealing:
The flysheet is waterproof, but as with all silnylon tents, the seams are not factory sealed. A one-time silicone seam sealing is recommended, making the tent completely waterproof and durable.

Pitching and maintenance:
The Ly 2 is easy and quick to pitch, but keep these rules in mind:

• Do not leave the fabric drum-tight – overstretching can damage the material.
• Adjust tension during the day as temperature and humidity change.
• Ensure all pole sections are fully connected.
