The NorTent Vern 3 is a three-person, four-season hot tent that brings safety, warmth, and comfort to even the most demanding adventures. An excellent choice when your group needs space, protection, and durability. The Vern 3 is a very spacious and stable tent that comfortably accommodates three people with gear – and four if needed. This is a tent made for long treks and remote expeditions where reliable protection is essential. Its aerodynamic design, multiple guy-out points, and Dyneema® reinforcements make the Vern 3 a trusted companion when the weather turns unforgiving.

Plenty of room for gear and living:
The Vern 3 features two large vestibules, offering ample space for backpacks, boots, and cooking gear. Both vestibules are also suitable for safe cooking. The inner tent fits three 190 × 60 cm sleeping pads plus equipment – perfect for three with comfort, and sheer luxury for two. Inside, four mesh pockets keep small items organized and within reach.

Stove-ready – warmth and coziness:
The Vern 3 comes with an integrated stove jack, allowing safe use of a tent stove. The stove instantly transforms the shelter into a warm, dry basecamp, drying your gear and making life comfortable even in cold, damp weather. The firelight adds atmosphere and makes group trips more enjoyable – it’s not just about heating, it’s about enhancing the entire outdoor experience.

Reinforced structure and double poles:
All stress points are reinforced with strong fabric patches that distribute wind and load forces across a larger area. This makes the construction especially durable in storms. The tent also supports double pole setup, ensuring stability in snow load and extreme weather.

Ventilation and condensation control:
The Vern 3 is equipped with six vents: two lower vents at each end bring in fresh air, and four above the doors release moisture. The upper vents double as small canopies in rain, allowing entrances to remain partially open. Condensation is managed in three ways: Heating – warm air binds moisture. Inner tent – keeps the sleeping area dry even if condensation forms on the fly. Excellent ventilation – efficiently carries moisture away.

Seam sealing:
The flysheet is waterproof, but as with all silnylon tents, the seams are not factory sealed. A one-time silicone seam sealing is recommended, making the construction completely waterproof. This solution is more durable than PU seam taping.

Pitching and maintenance:
The Vern 3 is designed to pitch in about 5–6 minutes. Silnylon is a “living” material that stretches and contracts with weather and humidity, so fabric tension should be adjusted during the day.

Do not leave the fabric drum-tight.
Loosen or tighten as conditions change.
Ensure all pole sections are properly connected – this prevents accidental breakage.
