Product info
German military crackers are emergency rations at their best - compact, lightweight, and always ready to provide something to chew on when there’s nothing else available. GERMAN CRACKERS (Panzerplatte) 125 g are a traditional long-life biscuit of the German Army, commonly known as Panzerplatten (literally “armor plates”).These biscuits are designed to withstand harsh conditions and deliver energy when proper food is not readily available - in field conditions, during camping or hiking trips, or as part of an emergency food supply.
They typically have a very long shelf life, depending on the batch, up to 4 years, and the packaging is built to protect the biscuits in humid, hot, or cold environments. These are not sweet snack biscuits - they are hard, dry, hardtack-style crackers, focused on durability and compact energy rather than indulgence.
Use cases:
- Camping / Hiking: lightweight, long-lasting emergency snack
- Emergency storage: survival kits: reliable nutrition with extended shelf life
- Military & tactical gear: field ration or supplementary energy source
- Collectors & military history enthusiasts: a classic MRE-product
wheat flour, sugar, vegetable fat (palm), maize starch, glucose syrup, salt, dried barley malt extract, raising agents (sodium bicarbonate, ammonium bicarbonate), emulsifier: soya lecithin, antioxidant: sodium metabisulphite.
May contain traces of nuts, milk, and sesame seeds.
The recipe and packaging make these biscuits highly durable and resistant to moisture, heat, cold, and even rodents. Bundeswehr hardtack biscuits are an excellent emergency energy source, and in terms of flavor they are somewhat reminiscent of classic Digestive biscuits.
