When moving under load and momentum must be maintained, energy needs to be available quickly – without a stove, water, or long breaks. The FRONTIER¹ Quick Response Ration (QRR) is a modern field ration designed for situations where traditional trail food, an MRE, or a full daily ration (24-hour ration) is too slow or too heavy to use.

One 100 g bar provides 400 kcal of energy and 24 g of protein. Tear open the package, eat, and keep moving. No preparation, no waiting. QRR works as a fast-access energy bar for outdoor use, but in structure and nutritional value it is closer to a compact military ration than a typical snack.

A traditional field ration or 24-hour ration is designed to cover a full day’s nutrition, but it takes space and often requires preparation. QRR works differently:

High energy density – more nutrition in less space
Eat on the move – no breaks, no stove, no water
Saves time, weight, and pack space
Works as a supplement to, or partial replacement for, heavier field rations

A box of 10 bars (4000 kcal) provides roughly one day’s energy, while taking only a fraction of the space of a traditional daily ration.

The driving force behind FRONTIER¹ QRR is Mathias Seignette, who founded the company in the Netherlands in 2025 to combine his family’s centuries-old medical heritage with the demands of modern field conditions.

Product development has also been shaped by former Dutch special forces operators Frenk and Richard. Their combined 12+ years of experience in high-risk operations and extreme endurance environments brought practical insight into the type of nutrition required to maintain performance under demanding conditions.
