The Direct Action Lysander MED Waist Bag is a low-profile medical waist pack designed for fast access to essential first aid and trauma equipment without restricting movement. It is a practical option when a larger medical bag would be too bulky, but a compact IFAK pouch does not offer enough capacity.

Its ergonomic, close-fitting shape allows the Lysander to be worn directly below a plate carrier. This makes it especially suitable for vehicle operations, CQB environments and other situations where medical gear needs to stay close to the body and remain quickly accessible.

Customizable medical organization

The main compartment opens with dual zippers for quick access even while wearing other equipment. The interior is lined with soft loop Velcro and works with the included removable inserts.

The inserts feature elastic loops and pockets for organizing dressings, hemostatic products, airway equipment and other IFAK or trauma supplies. The internal layout can be adjusted to suit the user's own medical loadout instead of forcing the equipment into a fixed organizer.

Dedicated storage for essential equipment

A zippered front pocket provides a convenient place for protective gloves. At the rear, a flat hook-and-loop secured compartment can be used for items such as a pressure dressing or larger hemostatic package.

The closing flap also includes dedicated pockets for trauma shears and a TCCC card. Frequently needed equipment can therefore be kept separate from the main compartment and accessed without unpacking the entire medical kit.

Additional MOLLE/PALS attachment points

Laser-cut MOLLE/PALS panels on both sides provide attachment points for additional equipment such as a tourniquet holder or extra medical pouches.

The bottom panel also features MOLLE slots and shockcord for carrying larger equipment. Direct Action specifically mentions a Combat Stretcher as one possible use, but the mounting system can also be adapted for other suitable gear.

Cordura® 500D for active use

The main material is durable Cordura® 500D, offering a good balance between abrasion resistance, weight and flexibility. The empty bag weighs only 358 grams, so most of the final weight depends on the medical equipment selected by the user.

The Lysander MED is supplied as an empty, configurable medical waist pack rather than a complete first aid kit. It is particularly well suited to users who need more capacity and organization than a traditional compact IFAK pouch can provide.
