The Forest Fundamentals Millbank Bag is a handmade water filtration bag based on the traditional British military Millbank design. It is ideal for hiking, bushcraft and wilderness use, efficiently removing sand, mud, silt and other suspended particles from water before further purification.

Durable and well-designed construction

The bag is made from highly durable, unbleached 12 oz cotton canvas. All seams are reinforced using strong V69 3-ply bonded polyester thread, the same type of thread used in quality tents and backpacks. Its larger size allows you to filter larger quantities of water at once.

Multi-purpose Survival Cord lanyard

A 1-metre 550 lb Survival Cord lanyard is included, featuring strands of copper wire, fishing line, waxed jute and parachute cord. This versatile cord can be used for gear repairs, fishing, shelter building and many other tasks in the field. The extra-long lanyard also makes it easy to position the bag directly above your collection container, helping to prevent spills in windy conditions.

Waterproof carrying pouch

A waterproof 210D Nylon drawstring pouch is included for transporting the used Millbank Bag without soaking the inside of your backpack. The pouch can also be used for carrying tinder or other small essentials.

Pre-filtration before water purification

The Millbank Bag is designed to remove sand, mud, silt and other suspended particles from water. Removing this sediment first can improve the effectiveness and extend the lifespan of other water purification systems, including filters and chemical treatments.

Important: The Millbank Bag is intended for pre-filtration and does not effectively remove pathogenic organisms from water. After filtration, water should be treated separately using a suitable method such as boiling or an appropriate water purification product.
