Survival Archery Systems designed the Ranger so that it can be equipped with accessories familiar from traditional combound bows: sights and an quivers. Smooth and light draw, made in the USA in Lexington, Kentucky. Takedown arrows from the same company can be stored in the handle of the bow. 3 pcs SAS Takedown Arrows are sold separately.

Both the riser and the detachable blades are exactly 22" and the whole package can thus fit in most standard backpacks in transport condition. All components of the riser are corrosion and time resistant: the frame is made of Aerospace grade T6 aluminum and the riser works for both handed shooters, you just flip the limbs and you can change right or left hand configuration. Survival Archery Systems uses Creo structural simulation software and theoretically the handle (riser) of the Ranger Takedown Bow can withstand millions of shots. In theory, but this has also been studied during the design phase of the bow.

The limbs are made of high-quality composite material, which is used in all Survival Archery Systems bows since 2014. Same stuff as most US made combound bows on the market use. These special limbs must be used together with an endless loop B-50 Dacron string so as to fit correctly into the string groove on the rear of the riser.

The Ranger Takedown Survival Bow weighs 1.18kg as it is and you can attach a sight and an quiver to it, ATA standard for mounting and threads.

    Fun to shoot with this. It packs down in my daypack easily. It is good to shoot, but it is a bit wide to carry with one hand over time. I will purchase scout next time. This bow is probably best suited for those with big hands; not for the shooting but for the carrying. The bow is accurate and powerful, shot with real feathers.
