LifeStraw Go water purifier bottle this time made of stainless steel and with a double-walled design. The new LifeStraw Go Stainless Steel is a package that combines the filtration technology and a stainless steel water bottle as one, which works perfectly as such, for example on wilderness trips or in a place where clean drinking water may not be readily availble. Just scoop a bottle of water directly from the river or pond, tighten the cap and suck the purified drinking water through the mouthpiece.

The main filter can filter a minimum of 4,000 liters of drinking water. However, LifeStraw does not contain any chemicals, batteries or moving parts. How does it work?

LifeStraw is an invention of the Swiss company Vestergaard from 2005 and designed for really hostile environments. Over the years, the product has been shipped around the world, to all possible crises and areas where, for example, floods or hurricanes have destroyed everything possible. LifeStraw has also established itself among adventurers who enjoy the outdoors and people preparing for emergencies.

Inside the LifeStraw Water Purifier there are hollow fibers specially designed for this purpose - the so-called ultrafilter technology which can be found e.g. water treatment plants that treat urban drinking water. Inside the LifeStraw filter, there are a large number of hollow fibers and each fiber has 0.2 micron diameter pores - 500 times thinner than human hair - and when water passes through these hollow fibers, only bacteria and parasite-free, clean drinking water passes through the fiber pores. Bacteria, parasites and dirt do not get in the user's mouth. The 2-stage filtration is completed by a activated carbon filter. No chemicals are used in the physics-based filtration process.
