Helikon-Tex Chinook Jacket is a lightweight technical shell designed for changing weather and active outdoor use. It offers reliable protection from rain and wind while remaining breathable enough for movement and physical activity.

The jacket features a 2.5-layer membrane construction that combines strong waterproof performance with effective moisture management. A 20,000 mm waterproof rating keeps rain and wind outside, while the membrane allows body moisture to escape. This makes the Chinook suitable for hiking, shooting range use, outdoor activities, and versatile field applications.

With a breathability rating of 20,000 g/m²/24h, excess heat and moisture can escape efficiently during demanding activity. Underarm ventilation zippers further improve airflow when additional cooling is needed.

All seams are fully taped to prevent water from entering through critical points. The two-way YKK® main zipper, combined with a Prym snap fastener, ensures a secure closure while allowing easy adjustment during movement.

The outer fabric is treated with a PFC-free DWR (Durable Water Repellent) coating, which helps repel water and dirt while slowing down moisture absorption. To maintain optimal performance, the coating can be renewed periodically with appropriate impregnation treatment.

Weighing approximately 400 g (size L), the Chinook Jacket works well as a lightweight protective outer layer for hiking, bushcraft, shooting range activities, and everyday outdoor use. It is designed for wet and windy conditions in temperatures roughly between -5 °C and +10 °C.

The Chinook shell jacket includes several practical features. Hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs and a drawcord at the hem and waist help seal out wind and rain while improving fit.

The jacket is also highly packable: it can be packed into its hood, allowing it to fit easily into a backpack. A separate carry bag is included for convenient storage.

Hook-and-loop panels on the shoulders allow patches and insignia to be attached.
