The Alpina Trapper Black is a versatile, waterproof Sympatex -membrane equipped hunting and hiking boot. Alpina Trapper is Alpina's most sold hiking and hunting boot model in Finland. Soft and comfortable, the shoe tongue is soft, the shoe opening is about 8cm in length from soft nubuck leather with an embossed cushion. All these make the boot very comfortable against shin and calf even when the terrain and going gets rough.

Alpina Trapper Black has an outer surface of 2.1mm thick greased leather which is easy to maintain and very durable. The tip of the boots have extra rubber reinforcements, which helps to protect the footwear and toes in even the hardest of terrains. The shaft material of the boot is soft nubuck and the boot also has achilles tendon support which helps the feet by cushioning extra strain from the feet in rough terrain.

Made purely for heavy outdoor use, no extra tactical features, seams or anything else excess. Made purely to function with your feet perfectly: no seams around ankle area, which could lead to abrasion of skin during use. The boot stretcher is a little bit on the wide side, perfect for the Nordic feet.

The attachment of the Trapper Black sole and the shoe part is unusual. The upper and lower part of the shoe are practically one part because the sole is cast into the boot instead of traditional gluing method. Due to the fastening technology, the sole has a structural margin because the edge of the shoe is not fastened directly to the bottom edge of the boot, so the seam is flexible. This makes the shoe bottom very durable. The Alpina Trapper Black uses Alpina's own rubber compound, which also holds on a wet and slippery surface and does not harden in sub zero temperatures.

The Trapper Black is truly flexible in its longitudinal direction, yet it is sufficiently side stiff, so comfortable and safe also on rougher terrain. The Trapper Black is a comfortable hunting or hiking boot since the start. It's a shoe that does not require a break in period.

Alpina Trapper Black has a Sympatex membrane that is completely waterproof but also very breathable. The bottom part of the shoe laces can be set once and after that only the upper part needs to be tighten separately and loosen when taking the boots off. Removable insole, weight EU42 size is approximately 1836g.

The Alpina Trapper Black is broad in stretcher size (sideways), making it ideal for most users. When adjusting the shoe, remember that the shoe will stretch in the lateral direction a few millimeters, longitudinal stretching will not occur.

For maintenance and care, we recommend a good water based grease, for example Hey Active Polish, BW Shoe Polish or Grangers Leather Conditioner. The shoes should be cleaned with brush and warm water after use. Let dry and brush again. Put leather conditioning grease only onto clean surface. Grease your shoes regulary. Remember, this is a waterproof membrane equipped boot, so do not use any traditional leather care products, they might block the breathability properties. Also, never dry these in hot enviroments, like in hot sunshine, campfire etc. because too hot air might ruin the water proof membrane. Floor heating is ok.

Alpina Trapper Black has a 12-month manufacturing error guarantee. The warranty does not cover, for example, carelessness due to your own negligence (eg, too much drying or too much leather conditioner creams), so take good care of your shoes!
